Balcony slab flashing

How can I flash a masonry wall that rests on a balcony slab? I am worried about water collecting on the balcony and running into the inside. Should I caulk the bottom edge of the masonry wall to prevent this? Or will that simply trap water within the wall? More

Not enough bolts to install shelf angles

A project of mine that is under construction uses wedge inserts and bolts in the edge of the concrete slab to attach the shelf angles for the brick masonry. Several of these inserts were mistakenly left out of the slab. Is there any reason why expansion anchors can't be used where the inserts were left out? More
