A team of 25 masons renovated the 217,000-square-foot library and built a 90,750-square-foot addition. Renovations included removing and reinstalling exterior limestone, and installing a new granite entrance and marble staircase. Using a tower crane, the masons removed and raised 3000-pound limestone pieces of the arch and reset them 8 feet higher.
