A college dorm, hotel, and chapel were among the honored projects in the Brick Industry Association's 20th Annual Brick in Architecture Awards competition this summer.
The awards honored innovative use of clay brick in eight different categories. Four renowned architects from around the country judged almost 200 entries. “In the end, eight outstanding projects were chosen as the best in their field because they demonstrated clay brick's performance benefits, aesthetic appeal and versatility,” said Dick Jennison, BIA president and CEO.
