With a mission of advancing Hispanic arts and culture in Dallas, the striking new Latino Cultural Center provides a worthy setting. Massive geometric sculptures form gray silhouettes against the bright orange-red terra-cotta exterior of the low, angular main building, which contrasts sharply with a tall purple tower. Masonry contractor Dee Brown Inc. completed the $475,000 masonry job in about 10 weeks, using nearly 9000 tiles totaling 17,900 sq ft.
