GCS Construction was asked to design/build the landscape of this 44-acre private estate from a blank slate. “When we started,” says GCS owner Bill Goddard, “not a tree, hill, or bush existed on the land. Now, the homeowners can entertain over 500 guests, but they also have spaces for intimate gatherings.” It took Goddard's crew, averaging eight men, six years to complete the work from initial grading to final planting.

The estate includes more than 10,000 sq ft of rock paving over concrete, large BBQ and arbor, outdoor fireplace, pig spit, multiple fire pits, columns, walls, stairways, and waterfall, with the project requiring 250 tons of natural rock. Behind the beautiful scenery, concrete block provides structural support for most of these features.

The landscaping also includes more than 3000 pieces of European style cast stone. They include split stone, wall caps, columns, column caps, and decorative pieces, most of which GCS cast onsite using its own molds.
