Cords can get everywhere. In fact, the worst thing about using cords and hoses isn’t that you have to connect them to something; it’s that they hang up on things and get in the way. Enter the Slide-Kick, a belt-worn plastic loop that holds cords and hoses where you might otherwise hold them with your free hand—if you had a hand free. Pivoting, the loop has rounded edges so electrical cords and air and vac hose slide through. I’d be happy to have one of these gizmos. Not sure I’d use it just for an electrical cord but I’d definitely use it for the hose from a dust collecting vacuum. Hoses and cords pop in and out from the loop so you can connect and untether quickly.
The video below will tell you everything you need to know except this: The Slide-Kick is only sold in the Netherlands. It is made by Innotwins and sells for 20 Euros, which at the current exchange rate is about $23. There is no way of knowing if or when the tool will be available here. I hope the manufacturer decides to export it because I think there are plenty of carpenters and woodworkers outside of the Netherlands who would buy it.
