A construction equipment operators challenge will premier at the 2007 World of Masonry/ World of Concrete in Las Vegas. Mustang Manufacturing and CE Attachments are sponsoring the “Operator's Precision Challenge,” which will give operators a chance to show their abilities to perform tasks efficiently while working in tight jobsite conditions.

The competitors will use Mustang's skid-steers, track loaders, and excavators, combined with various attachments from CE Attachments. The participants will be judged on their accuracy and timing in accomplishing various tasks, including:

Skid-steers

  • Precise placement of small objects
  • Obstacle course and dexterity test with multiple attachments

Track loaders

  • Mock soccer practice using a V-blade attachment
  • Simulated site clean-up with a grabbing tool

Excavators

  • Balancing and bucket maneuvers
  • Ball and chain demolition
  • Mega-golf

The “Operator's Precision Challenge” will provide an opportunity for skilled operators, whose work often goes unseen after a job is finished, to prove their expertise and compete for big prizes. The challenge is open to all certified compact equipment operators who complete the entry form at the World of Masonry/World of Concrete and provide proof of equipment training. The event will be held in the Las Vegas Convention Center's Gold Lot from Tuesday, January 23, through Friday, January 26.
