The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts was completed November of 2012. The exterior of the 160,000SF facility was comprised of Indiana limestone, architectural precast, granite, and CMU; the stone compilation ranged from 10lbs-7 tons. The major aesthetic masonry was Indiana limestone; the secondary was architectural precast and granite. Read more

The addition to and renovation of this 1930's brick residence at the end of a public road in Bethesda, MD was completed for a newspaper editor, a journalist, and their two daughters. While primarily serving as the owners' private home, the new residence also needed to accommodate guests during large public receptions. Read more

Texas A&M San Antonio Multi Purpose Building Texas A&M San Antonio Multi Purpose Building

A combination of brick and sandstone was used on the exterior of the first facility to be built on the Texas A & M San Antonio Campus. The arcades are supported with true masonry arches. Special shape brick was used throughout the column window surround and paraphet pediments. Not seen in today's modern projects in the use of the jack Brick arches installed over the window openings. This is a single family residence located 150 ft. from the Atlantic Ocean in Bridgehampton, NY. The house was designed to look like it is sitting on a stone plinth which protects the house from the Ocean. The stone seamlessly from the exterior to interior of the house to connect it to it's surrounding site. Read more

The project is a remodel and addition of an existing 1-story residence located along the scenic Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles and is uniquely perched on a hilltop site overlooking the San Fernando Valley. The program called for luxurious entertainment spaces, but with a contemporary design uncommon for Los Angeles estates of of comparable scale. Read more

All brick and carved stone trimmed house. Has numerous walkways, terraces and verandas. There are (6) masonry chimneys loaded with detail. The house also has numerous projected brick diamond bond patterns. This house also won the MCAA Team Award for 2012. Read more

The Skyline Ridge Dev. is a large res. comm. with 90 luxury condos. The original site was very hilly with no space for the building structures. The solution was a series of 17 large Allan Block retaining walls with a max. grade change of 70ft., built to form a construction plateau allowing the condos to overlook the Manhattan skyline. St. Joseph's University, located in Philadelphia, has grown rapidly since acquiring additional campus acreage in 2001. Their need for student housing to accommodate their growing student population was apparent. This 6-story residence hall is 116,500 SF with space for 415 occupants, including lounges, study rooms and fitness center. Read more

This project is a new office building for a major real estate development firm in Dallas, Texas. The building was added as part of a repurposed use of the original county hospital for Dallas County, Texas. The original buildings, which are now used for offices, are approximately 100 years old and are of masonry design. Read more

Provo Peaks Elementary is an outstanding example of blending modern masonry techniques with 1930s style. Designed to duplicate the feel of Provo's downtown, this school's beautiful exterior is exclusively masonry. This down town office building consist of eleven levels. A Texas Flame finish granite was used at the first level. Smooth and Split Face Pecos Red sand stone was the chosen cladding material up to the third level. From the third level to the top level Arriscraft Smooth and Split Face was used. This high school replacement incorporates burnished CMU as its main focal points, on the exterior as well as the interior, along with split-face CMU and brick. Utility size brick was used throughout this multi level project. The main entrance high feature wall consisted of Hadrian Limestone with a hone finish. Hadrian Limestone was also used at stair towers and rear entrance. Read more

Mid-North Residence Mid-North Residence

This adaptive reuse of a commercial property as a single family residence features two connected masonry structures - a three-story barn dating from the 1870s and a 1.5 story commercial structure from 1913. The historic brick buildings were preserved and partially reconstructed to become the exterior shell for a contemporary home. Read more

The project is one of 4 projects on a 10 acre site in the heart of Honolulu. This project is a Bus Transit Center that is on a platform 800 sf in length, where buses are dropping off and picking up at 7 different positions, and where buses are arriving every 10 minutes. There are 5 cmu buildings on the platform that are using dark burnished cmu. Read more

The project is a renovated property where masonry was used extensively on site for a new garage, pool, decks, retaining walls, and veneer. The masonry was central in meeting the sustainable goals. The New Federal Building

The New Federal Building in Tuscaloosa, Alabama is a two story, 127,000 square foot structure housing Federal Courts, US Bankruptcy Court, US Attorney, US Marshall Service, US Senator, and US Representative. The exterior wall system is comprised of a cast concrete back-up with a limestone veneer consisting of over 10,000 pieces ranging in thickness from 4" to 8" resulting in a total weight of limestone material of 5.3 million pounds. The design of the house was influenced by the lines and simplicity of the valleys modern period. Materials were left in the pure, raw, and natural form where possible to both expose their method of construction as well as to utilize them for their genuine character and durability. Concrete, concrete masonry units, and wood create the palette. Read more

Manganaro MidAtlantic was employed by the JBG Companies to restore the exterior of Dominion Towers, an 8-story red brick apartment complex built in the 1950s and home to around 330 individuals. Manganaro utilized their One Voice, One Team management system for the restoration of the building. Read more
