MASONRY CONSTRUCTION magazine is once again publishing its list of the country's largest masonry contractors, based on 2008 sales volume. Past Top Contractors Lists

2007 Top Contractors ListRevenue continued on its upward spiral based on the information from the 75 companies participating in MASONRY CONSTRUCTION's 6th annual "Top Contractors" survey article. Masonry revenue from the respondents totaled $1.352 billion.

2006 Top Contractors ListContractors participating in our 5th annual article generated about $1.177 billion in 2005, exceeding the amount of any of the previous four lists and nearly $90 million more than the 2004 volume. The residential market led the way with a 6% volume increase over 2004, accounting for 21% of the total. The commercial/industrial/institutional (CII) market continues to dominate the total with about 65%, but took the entire percentage loss to the residential segment. The repair/ renovation/restoration (RRR) market gathered about 14% of the business, which has been a consistent amount over the previous four years. Eighty companies appeared in both years.

The 2005 Top Contractors

For the fourth consecutive year, McGee Brothers. Co., Monroe, N.C., topped the chart in Masonry Construction magazine's annual listing of top masonry contractors, based on last year's sales volume.The full text of this article is available as a PDF document. The 2004 Top Contractors

MASONRY CONSTRUCTION magazine's 3rd annual contractor listing based on 2003 masonry sales volume includes 77 companies that did a little more than $1 billion in work last year. This volume is down slightly compared to 2002 even though the list includes three more contractors. McGee Brothers led the rankings for the third straight year with a substantial dollar lead over No. 2, The Western Group. The Monroe, N.C., contractor did $78.4 million in masonry work. The 2003 Top Contractors

MASONRY CONSTRUCTION magazine's second-annual "Top Contractors" listing based on 2002 masonry sales volume is nearly 50% larger than last year's version with 74 companies participating.
