May metal flashings be used with galvanized shelf angles, or do the different metals cause corrosion problems?
There could be a problem. Copper and stainless steel flashings should be separated from galvanized shelf angles to prevent corrosion of the shelf angles. You can do this using a thin sheet of polyethylene, some other membrane, or paint. Avoid attaching the top leg of such flashing directly to metal parts with metal screws. If the top leg of such flashings must be attached to steel, use plastic anchors or plastic-coated anchors.
