The owners of a 7200-square-foot custom home in the gated Kingsmill community near Colonial Williamsburg, Va., wanted stone inside and out, but didn’t want to see mortar joints. The stone masons from for Snow Jr. & King shaped the stone with splitters and hammers so the pieces would interlock. The crew of four masons and three laborers spent about 7 months on the $450,000 masonry project, which used 288 tons of stone.
