Since Donald Trump has taken office, people have wondered what the wall would be made of. Most have assumed it would be made of concrete or brick, but now there's a new theory out there. Some argue that the wall needs to be more high tech - a virtual wall with fibre optics, drones, lasers, and real-time data analytics. A virtual wall could prove to be more effective and less expensive than a physical wall.

Jones from the department of political science at Rice University, Houston, over a year ago when both President Donald Trump’s election chances and, with it, his calls for a “wall” – were still considered improbable by most.
