New York concrete masonry manufacturer Superior Block Corporation is joining Mayor Bill de Blasio’s effort to reduce carbon emissions in New York City. Superior Block Construction announced that starting November 2015, its concrete masonry units will be available, by request, with Carbon Cure technology. This technology captures carbon dioxide from smokestacks from concrete products. The gas then becomes converted into a mineral and captures it in the concrete.
Superior Block Corporation is just one of many concrete masonry facilities in North America that CarbonCure has partnered up with as the industry moves more and more towards sustainable production.
