Few activities impact the viability and profitability of the masonry industry faster than the actions taken by legislators and regulatory agencies. The Masonry Industry Legislative Conference, May 12 - 14, provides a unique opportunity for masonry leaders to gather in Washington, D.C. and discuss the key issues and how they affect the industry with these extremely important decision makers.

Participants will hear a review of the industry position statements and issues at a breakfast gathering on May 13 before heading to Capitol Hill for face-to-face meetings with key senators and congressmen. Each attendee also will have the opportunity to meet with his own congressional representative and senator to discuss industry issues.

May 14 deals with Federal agencies whose decision making status affects the industry. Representatives from USACE, NAVFAE, and several other agencies will make presentations to the masonry attendees. A working lunch includes a conference review and future strategy planning session.

The Legislative Conference is sponsored by the Mason Contractors Association of America and National Concrete Masonry Association. For more information, visit www.masoncontractors.org or www.ncma.org. Register online at www.iwillattend.org.
