It’s difficult to be in charge of a team that doesn’t feel that they are being held accountable. George Hedley for Mason Contractors writes on ways to combat accountability and responsibility by placing some decision making into the hands of the employees. 

Hedley recommends that employers stop wearing a sign around their neck that says, “I SOPP” (I Solve Other People’s Problems). When employers solve all the problems within their organization, they leave their employees undervalued.
