The largest trade show in the Western Hemisphere for the construction, aggregates, and ready mixed concrete industries is at hand. ConExpo-Con/Agg 2002 is expected to lure more than 125,000 visitors to Las Vegas, March 19-23.

The event is held every 3 years and provides a showcase for the latest in equipment, services, product design, and technological advances. It also offers an extensive educational program across a broad range of subject tracks.

All segments of the construction and construction materials industries will be represented, including contractors, materials producers, and government and institutional officials About 20,000 international visitors from 135 or so countries around the world are expected to attend the expo.

About 2300 exhibitors occupying nearly 2 million square feet of indoor and outdoor space are expected. The massive show is divided into product concentration areas to maximize attendees' time and search efforts. Major exhibit area categories are earthmoving, lifting, asphalt paving and production, concrete paving and production, aggregates processing, and heavy-duty trucks and mixers.

Nearly 120 educational events are spread across the 5-day expo. Sessions will be presented on aggregates, asphalt, concrete, earthmoving/lifting, recycling/environmental regulations, safety, utility construction, information technology, management, and personal development.
