Danis Building Construction Co. will now be using drones as part of its business. The company says it will use the drone to show the view from the top floors of a proposed building and also to survey structurally unsafe buildings and inspect damage up close, which means its employees aren't in harm's way.

"Our first priority is to be safe," said Aaron Phillips, director of virtual design for Danis. "We want to make sure we're doing things by the book."

Danis is the third largest commercial construction in the Dayton area and looks to use the drone as a cheaper method of virtual prototyping.
