Great weather, great products, and a strong market were all enjoyed at last week’s Hardscape North America (HNA) event held in Louisville, Ky. While most of the displays were packed with lawnmowers, horticulture supplies, and tree trimmers, masonry was also well represented.
ASTM International has launched a new branding program with the tagline “Helping Our World Work Better.” Committee member James Tann has been nominated to serve on the executive board regarding ASTM’s new central theme, which will focus on the importance of educating professionals and the public about the importance of their work.
So as we enjoy Thanksgiving tomorrow, hopefully sharing family time around a masonry fireplace, let’s make a commitment. Let’s work as an industry to improve the perception of masonry construction in the residential market, so in 2015 buyers will invest in resilent structures, and ask for brick on all fours sides of the home.
